The tab is a component of soft-pack lithium battery products used in 3C consumer products and electric vehicles. It is divided into a positive electrode (aluminum material) and a negative electrode (nickel or copper-plated nickel material), and is made of a metal strip and a film that are heated and composited.

In the process of battery production, the tabs can play a good role in electrolyte resistance, hydrofluoric acid resistance, and bonding performance with aluminum-plastic film. The tabs produced by special technology have the characteristics of corrosion resistance, leakage prevention, stable conductivity, high energy density, high power density, long cycle life, and green environmental protection.

The main functions of the tabs are as follows:

1. Connectivity: the connection between the inside and outside of the battery, that is, the connection between the ear rubber and the aluminum-plastic film;

2. Conductivity: The current is drawn through the ear to generate a circuit;

3. Sealing: the sealing between the film and the metal strip, and the sealing between the film and the aluminum-plastic film.
